A light meal will be provided. All are welcome!

The Mohawk Village Memorial Park is an initiative of residential school survivors. The devastating effects of Residential Schools continues to impact those who lived in institutional care as children. Many struggle and journey to regain some sense of balance and harmony in life – particularly in relationships, parenting and spirituality. The effects are also felt and endured by their families. Since the Truth and Reconciliation Commission emerged, survivors have found a voice. They look to help each other, and move forward in life in a good way and with a healthy mind. The Mohawk Village Memorial Park cannot undo the horrendous impact of Residential Schools, but serves as a reminder to be ever vigilant so that history does not repeat itself.

Watch the video below to explore the proposed development of the Mohawk Village Memorial Park.
