Six Nations Tourism is excited to present a screening of “Angry Inuk”, as part of their Movie Monday series at the Gathering Place.

Angry Inuk is an eye-opening documentary, and 2017 winner of the Audience Choice Award at the Available Light Film Festival, 2017 winner of the Social Justice Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and 2016 Audience Award winner at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. Admission is by donation, and refreshments and popcorn will be provided!

Movie Summary
In this award-winning documentary, director Alethea Arnaquq-Baril joins a new tech-savvy generation of Inuit as they campaign to challenge long-established perceptions of seal hunting. Armed with social media and their own sense of humour and justice, this group is bringing its own voice into the conversation and presenting themselves to the world as a modern people in dire need of a sustainable economy.
